Current headlines sound the alarm as racing now falls the latest victim to COVID-19. Unlike other sports where players simply take to the bench, horseman scramble to find resources to keep their horses safe and fed until the smoke clears. Tracks not only opt to close, but by rule of governing bodies, are forced to evict backstretch workers and horses normally stabled for full racing meets. Dear Senator Feinstein,

I am writing to you in response to your recent statement about Horse Racing’s critical test. I appreciate your concern for horses and I share your feelings of being heartbroken. Each horse is precious and loved by an owner and worker who cares for them daily.
